Bobby Lee Hamby, 71, of Mentone, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at his home. He was born August 20, 1952 to the late Lawrence Hamby and Nancy Harrell Hamby. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was the owner and operator of DeKalb Computers for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Spring City Memorial Gardens in Spring City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Doris Hamby, daughter Bobbie Hall (Christopher Fielding); grandchildren Kaitlynn Hall (Neil Johnson), Nick Hall (Rose Peek), and Brittany Smith; great-grandchildren Jasmine Walker and Kylee, Nevaeh, and Kynzie Smith; great-grandchild Harrison Johnson; brothers Clarence Hamby and David Hamby; and sister Patsy Harris.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Peggy Hamby and siblings Imogene Hamby, Max Hamby, and Frances Acox.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
