Mr. Bobby Lamar Ledbetter Sr, 90, of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday. He was a Christian and a long-time member of Guild Baptist Church in Jasper. He enjoyed a career as a high school teacher and football coach before becoming a NASA engineer. He enjoyed serving and being a very active part of his church family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Katie Lou Blye Ledbetter, his son, Michael Barry Ledbetter. his brothers, Hoyt Ledbetter, Gary Ledbetter, and his sister, Joyce Denny.
Surviving family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Lamar Ledbetter Jr and his wife, Judy; His daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Barlow and her husband, Paul; His four grandchildren: April Ledbetter, Leslie Ledbetter, Alex Barlow, and Rachel Barlow. His brother, Bill Ledbetter, and his sister, Loretta Moman.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2pm at First Flint River Baptist Church located at 8519 Moores Mill Road, Meridianville, Al 35759, with Bro. Lloyd Harvell officiating.
