Bobby Joe Boyd age 68 of Athens, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Boyd was born October 12, 1947 in Limestone County, AL to Frank Boyd and Novie King Boyd.
Services will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Tim Buchanan officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Point Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Novie Boyd; one sister, Evelyn Webb.
Survived by his wife, Patricia Boyd; four daughters, Kelli Thornton and husband, Bryan, Jennie Romine and husband, Jason, Patty Townley and husband, Harold and Ashley Waugh and husband, Jerry; ten grandchildren, Jay Romine and wife, Rachel, Jordan Romine, Jeremy Romine, Cpl. Kyle Thornton, Kasey Thornton, Autumn Townley, Nick Townley and Cheyann Townley, Ace Waugh and Molly Waugh; one sister, Marilyn Sue Martin; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jay Romine, Jordan Romine, Jeremy Romine, Nick Townley, Ace Waugh and John Haggard. Honorary pallbearer will be Cpl. Kyle Thornton of Fort Benning, GA.
