Bobby Hitt – Obituary

Funeral for Bobby Hitt, 80, of Hillsboro, will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Johnny Mays officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, from 6 to to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hitt, who died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at his residence, was born Feb. 15, 1936, to Lois Roudolph Hitt and Rossi Irene Morris Hitt. He was retired from Wolverine Tube after many years of service. He enjoyed family, friends, neighbors and helping everyone in anyway he could. He also enjoyed fishing and the occasional hunting trip. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He dearly loved his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by mother, Rossi Irene Morris Hitt; father, Lois Roudolph Hitt; son, Alan Hitt; daughter, Linda Hitt; two brothers, Lloyd Hitt and Edward Hitt; and sister, Dorothy Parker.

Survivors include wife, Bertie Hitt; son, John (Karen) Hitt; daughter, Alania Hitt (John) Hardyman; five sisters, Marjorie Parker, Mary Lee Hazle, Alice Hitt, Gladys Spears, and Ruth Carroll; five grandchildren, Shannon Ramsey, Brandon Hitt, Brittney Hitt Butner, Jonathon Hitt, and Joe Hitt; seven great-grandchildren, Kiara Ward, Marques Brown, Jayden Brown, Colby Brown, Aedynn Shepard, Lydia Hitt, and Camden Hitt

Pallbearers will be Vincent Cole, Chuck Turner, Don Hazle, David Hitt, Hayward Shelton, and Jimmy Turner
