Mr. Bobby H. Davis, age 76 of Bolivar, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Davis was born April 18, 1938 in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Walter A. and Maggie Janet Hatch Davis. On April 3, 1990, he was united in marriage to the former Linda Alice Steeves, who survives. He retired in 1993 after working as a steel worker for LTV Steel, Inc. in Gary, Indiana for 35 years. That same year, he returned to Hardeman County, where he was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church. He loved talking on the CB radio, his handle for which was “Bush Hog,” as well as cutting grass and collecting knives, guns and coins. Above all, he loved his family and was a fantastic Daddy and Paw Paw.
Along with his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by two daughters, Amanda Lucius and husband Jon Paul of Selmer, and Nicolette Huber and husband Brian of Portage, Indiana; two sons, Glenn Davis of Bolivar, and Paul Ciciora of Colorado; two sisters, Martha Stack of Saltillo, Tennessee, and Shirley Rowland and husband Skippy of Henderson; and nine grandchildren, Timothy Huber, Joseph Huber, Daniel Huber, Alaina Davis, Nicholas Ciciora, Madison Ciciora, Dayton Harland Rowland, Allison Rowland and Shelby Lucius.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby H. Davis, Jr., who passed away February 17, 1994, exactly 22 years prior to his father; and a sister, Beverly Diane Wise, who died in 2006.
Charitable donations made in memory of Mr. Davis may be sent to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research, Melanoma Research, or to the Hardeman County Relay for Life.
