Mr. Bobby Gene McPeak, age 87, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 12th at 2:00pm at Polk Memorial Gardens with Bro. Marlin Finley officiating. The family will visit with friends at the graveside from 1:00pm until the service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
Bobby was born on November 1, 1936, in Williamson County, Tennessee, to the late Gene McPeak and Ada Alsup McPeak. He dedicated his career to truck driving, retiring from Hohenwald Truck Lines. In 2010, he lost his beloved wife, Betty Jean Bradford McPeak, who preceded him in death.
Bobby had a deep passion for the outdoors, particularly in growing a wide variety of vegetables. He also enjoyed playing pool and was a fan of John Wayne movies. His warmth and zest for life will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Vicki Denise McPeak Bradley of Columbia and Debra Sue McPeak Anderson of Cornersville; cherished grandsons, Jason Carl Bradley, Joshua Adam Bradley, Justin Robert Anderson, and Michael Benton (Nikki) Anderson, Jr.; and his adored great-grandchildren, Jayda Marie Bradley, Chloe Simmons, Jonathan Reed Anderson, Tristan D. Turner, Jordan Anderson, and Trooper Cash Bradley. Bobby also leaves behind his brother, Lanny R. (Nancy) McPeak, and a dear friend, Katie Willis Cannady.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl T. McPeak and Elbert C. McPeak.
Bobby’s grandsons will honor him by serving as pallbearers.
