Funeral service for Bobby Gene Cumbess, age 59, of Decatur, will be Saturday, December 10, 2016, 12:00 p.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Ray Remke officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cumbess, who was one of ten children, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at his residence. He was born November 26, 1957, in Stuart, FL, to Ealey Cumbess and Nannie Pearl Griffin Cumbess.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Campbell Cumbess of Decatur; three sons, Bo Cumbess of Buchanan, MI, and Martin Cumbess and Gavin Cumbess, both of Decatur; three daughters, Rayanna Cumbess of Decatur, Marlo Sefton (Michael) of Huntsville, and Theresa Cumbess of Decatur; and five grandchildren, Danica Cumbess, Cyrus Cumbess, Bryson Cumbess, Grayson Cumbess, and Evelyn Sefton.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
