Bobby Charles Barnes, 51, of Bruce, formerly of Mantachie, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born March 19, 1969 to the late Charles Eddie Barnes and the late Carol Smith Jackson. Bobby was Christian man and loved to praise his Lord. He enjoyed attending church with his family whenever his health would allow. He was a fisherman by heart and love to sit at a creek or lake with a pole and a line in the water. He could sit there for hours and never get a bite. Bobby also loved to watch his bird feeders for all the different types of birds and he knew what seed he had to have to attract the certain kind of bird that he wanted to come feed. His most favorite were his many Hummingbirds that he had coming to his feeders every year and also the Red Birds that loved the sunflower seeds that he always made sure he had a good stock of to feed them with.

Bobby worked most of his life as a cook and worked for several restaurant’s in Mantachie, MS for many years. He also worked at a couple of convenience stores as a cook. Cooking was just a joy for him and he always likes to make sweet potato pies and chocolate pies for all the holiday meals with the family. If you visited him at home, most of the time you would find him watching the food network as this was one of his favorite channels. He will forever be missed by his family and friends. He now has met his Lord with a new body and is walking the streets of gold today.
