Bobbie HendrixBobbie Lou Hendrix, aged 89, passed away on September 18, 2024, in New Hope, AL. Born on August 30, 1935, Bobbie was a nurturing figure, deeply cherished as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, affectionately known as Maw-Maw. Her life was a testament to her hard work and dedication, both in her numerous professional endeavors and in her personal life where she cared deeply for her family and friends.
Bobbie was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church, where she embraced her community and faith. Her life was marked by her trust and belief in the Lord Jesus, which guided her through her journey.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her siblings Brenda Collins, Vanessa Dogge, and Scarlett Thomason; her children Ronald Ingram, Anita Diane Ingram, Bobby Ingram, and Dedra Campbell; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luna and Limuel Collins; her husbands, Talmadge Ingram and Hoyt Hendrix; and siblings Myriam, John, Steve, Gordon, James, Wayne Collins, and Icey Freeman.
Bobbie’s hobbies included reading, cooking, caring for others, and enjoying an occasional trip to the casino, reflecting her zest for life and love for adventure. Bobbie’s legacy of kindness, faith, and family devotion will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, located at 6906 US Hwy 431, Albertville, AL 35950. Flowers in her honor may be sent to the funeral home for the service.
