Bobbie Joan Black Wingo passed away April 16, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father, Elta A. Black; mother, Ruth Black; brother, Jimmy Black and sister-in-law, Shirley Black. Joan is survived by her children Ronny Wingo (Michelle), Rich Wingo and Vikki Little (Mike); grandchildren, Embree Ann Wingo, Lauren Little, Clint Wingo and Kolby Twilley; sisters, Faye Carden, Judy Mills and Becky Black as well as many nieces and nephews. Joan was a beloved Mother, Nana, Sister and Aunt. She was a lifelong member of the Sumiton Church of God. She retired from University of Alabama Dental School. Joan was a loving friend to everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by both family and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation from 1-2pm. Funeral service will begin at 2pm followed by burial in Good Hope Cemetery. Rev. Lane Sargent officiating.
