Bobbie Jo West, age 65, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center.
Bobbie Jo was a strong-willed woman who would do anything she could for anyone. She loved her husband and family very much, and they loved her very much also. We will carry her memory with us forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie “Bill” & Pearl (Quillen) Mitchell, brothers, Billy Mitchell, Johnny Thomas Mitchell and sisters, Bertha Green, Katie Mitchell, Margie Hill, and Glenda Mitchell
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 28 years, Homer Hershel West; daughters, Ann West (Gerald), Becky Nickelson (Norman), Lela Bell (Greg), Tim West (Jennifer), Jarrett West, Libbie Duke (Robbie), Tamara Skinner (Chris), Chad West; sisters, Jennell Lane, Cinderella Borden, Francis Lewis, Joyce Vaughn; brother, Jimmy Mitchell (Linda); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the funeral home chapel. Sister Pearl Shelton and Bro. Jim Lumpkins will officiate the service. The burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be John Henry Lane, Thomas Thomas, William Nickelson, Takota Calhoun, CJ Kilpatrick, and Gregory Bell. The honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Fisher.
The family would like to express sincere thanks and appreciation to the nurses and doctors, CCU Second Floor and Third Floor staff at North Alabama Medical Center for the love and care shown to our family.
