Bobbie Jewelyn Holloway, age 85, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Holloway was born August 4th, 1937, in Gadsden, Alabama to Lewis P. Stonecipher and Nety Johnson Stonecipher. She retired from Lang’s Sporting Goods, where she was a team sports coordinator. In her free time, she was an accomplished quilter and enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, and sewing.
Mrs. Holloway was a beloved wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Alfred Holloway, Sr. and is survived by her children: her son, Thomas A. Holloway, Jr. (Dawn) of Decatur; her daughters, Jennifer Lynne Lambe (Tim) of Franklin, Tennessee, and Janice Lea Dearman (Roy) of Decatur; her sister, Addie Parthena Conaway of Gadsden, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Megan Dearman Porter (Scotty), Sydney Karina Lambe, and Callie Ryan Holloway. Pallbearers will be Thomas Alfred Holloway, Jr., Roy Dearman, Tim Lambe, Scotty Porter, Craig Ashley, Stan Green, and Dwight Jett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Holloway will be Friday, February 3rd, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Holmes and Becky Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectively requests memorial donations be made to the Humane Society or the Morgan County Animal Shelter.
