Bobbie Jean Goodwin, 81, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday. Mrs. Goodwin was an avid Alabama football fan and bowler. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. Mrs. Goodwin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; sister, mother-in-law, and companion.
Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart Decatur Thrasher and Lydia Mae McCool Thrasher; husband, Jimmy Goodwin; sisters, Mary Sue Bedford, and Emma Lou Fourroux; brothers, Preston Thrasher and Charles Thomas Thrasher; and great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Peyton Speight.
Survivors include son, Eddie Goodwin (Linda); daughter, Sheryl Speight (Don); sisters, Annette Lawley and Mona Dale Thrasher; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and companion, Mike Shoemaker.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21st at Maple Hill Cemetery.
