Bobbie Jean Fowler, age 90 of Belvidere, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lincoln County on February 4, 1933, to the late Charlie and Maude (Simmons) Fowler. Until his retirement, Bobbie was employed as a chemical technician at a chemical production facility in Illinois. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time fishing or riding horses. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family, including his four-legged best friend, Sadie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rachael, Ailene, Lila Fay, Nina, Nell, J. Milton, and Ed. Bobbie is survived by his loving wife, Robbie Bartlett; son, Scott (Patricia) Fowler; grandson, Joe (Jada) Fowler; step-daughters, Helen (Stuart) Freeman, Anita (Buddy) Bryant; and Karen Podorski; step-sons, Robert (Bonnie) Podgorski, and David Bartlett; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev.
