Bobbie J. Smith
Bobbie was married to William B. Smith for 58 years. She was not only a homemaker and mother she owned and operated Sumiton Cleaners for many years. Bobbie was an avid sports fan who loved all sports. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo with friends and spending time with family.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Shirley Ann Hardin; husband William B. Smith; son Randy Smith; brothers, Billy Hardin and Jimmy Hardin as well as sisters, Shirley Ann Westbrook and Nona Strickland.
Survivors include her loving brother Jody Harden of Hayden, AL; children, Michael W. Smith (Jeanie) of Orlando, FL, Debbie Smith of Jasper, AL, Elaine Murphy (Mike) of Troy, AL, Sandy Waddle (Marty) of Cullman, AL and Rodney Smith (Gina) of Jasper, AL. Bobbie was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Woodland Village Nursing Home and to the staff of Comfort Care Hospice for the exceptional care and service they provided for Bobbie.
Funeral services for Bobbie will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home at 2pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in McCormack Cemetery. Bro. Don Westbrook will officiate. Pall bearers will be Adam Waddle, Blake Waddle, Cameron Waddle, Nathan Smith, Braxton Smith and A.J. Smith.
