Bobbie Everalena Howard, age 84 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Winchester, she was born on April 26, 1939, to the late Roy and Clay Vinnie Hill . In her younger years, she enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Before her retirement, she had been employed by the Detroit City School System as a Teacher’s Assistant, a job she dearly loved and truly enjoyed working with the students. Bobbie was a member of the Original Church of God Detroit/Winchester, where she served as President of the Usher Board. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Howard; and siblings, Viola Hill, Archie Hill, J. C. Hill, Roy Glenn Hill Sr, Morgan Hill, Roger Woods, and J.D. Woods. Bobbie is survived by her loving daughters, Eyunethia Owens, and Jessie Marie Owens; granddaughter, Eyunikue Owens; step-granddaughter, Chasity Marie Smith; great-grandson, Christian Smith; sisters, Hazel (Kenneth)Patrick, Devonia Smith, Betty Ann (Thomas) Rogers, and Beatrice (Thomas) Taylor; brothers, Charles Ed (Irene) Hill, and Chaney Hill; special niece, Chinetha Hendon; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11am-12 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
