BLOUNT COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Blounty County has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, has claimed the life of a Blountsville man.
John T. Newman, 51, was seriously injured when the 1995 Buick Le Sabre he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Newman was transported to Marshall Medical Center in Guntersville, where he was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred U.S. 231 near the 280 mile marker, in Blount County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
