Blake Willis, 83, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at The Bridge of Ridgely, TN. Family will receive friends Thursday, 11-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Funeral service will follow in Morrison Chapel with Michael Walker officiating; burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Willis was a native of Colbert Heights, an Army veteran and faced combat in Korea. Blake retired from Southern Railroad. He was the youngest of nine children born to Lewis and Fanny Key Willis. Blake was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Goins Willis, son, Steve Willis, five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Willis and grandson, Jesse Blake Willis.
Pallbearers will be Carl Fischer, Bobby Willis, Charles Willis, Don Willis, Jon Willis and Ralph Berryman.
