Mr. Birdwell D. McMunn, Jr., B or Bird as some called him, age 74, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was born in Limestone County on July 10, 1943 to Birdwell McMunn, Sr. and Myrtle Willie McMunn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Birdwell McMunn, Sr. and Myrtle Willie McMunn and his brother Fred McMunn.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo McMunn; son and daughter-in law, Jason and Stephanie McMunn of East Limestone; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Walt Chaney of East Limestone; three grandchildren, Bailey Sanders, Lane Sanders, and Abby Sanders; niece Wendy Hollander and nephew Keith McMunn.
Services for Mr. McMunn will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:45 prior to the service. Burial will take place in Johnson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Kar, Todd Carson, Buck Gosnay, David Bailey, Keith McMunn and Bill Blackmon. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Dollar, Dwight Billions, Gideon Flanagan and Ron Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
