Birdie Louise Carey, age 77, of Dresden, TN passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Clifford and Mary Louisa Weaver Staggs; her husband, Johnnie B. Carey; two brothers, Homer C. Staggs and Frankie Staggs; and one sister, Bertha Staggs.
She is survived by
Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Great-Great Nieces, and Great-Great Nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2016, with Thomas Mattox officiating. Interment will follow at Barnesville Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
