Billy Welch Bishop, 94 passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Finley, TN to Ivory Bishop and Clara Welch Bishop. He was an auto mechanic and veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL assisted the family.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Strickland (Bud); grandson, Christopher Strickland (Beth); great-grandchildren, Lexi, Kate and Carter Chittam; special nephews, Chuck Mills, Paul Bishop and Tim Engle; several other nieces and nephews and one sister, Neda Hinson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Trillia Bishop; his parents and siblings, Jean Hall, Judy Bishop, Dallas Bishop and Jerald Bishop.
