Billy Wayne Lawrence, 84 of Arab, Alabama died Friday October 28, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Lawrence was born April 6, 1932 in Morgan County, Alabama to Benford Lawrence and Ruby Morrow Lawrence. He retired in 1984 from TVA where he worked as a pipe fitter. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Arab Masonic Lodge #663 and the Cahaba Shriners of Huntsville.
Mr. Lawrence was a member of the The Twelfth Avenue Church of God.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Tina and Darron Blocker, Susette (Susy) Lawrence and Angela and Robert Echols; grandchildren: Justin Blocker, Seth Moore, Sarah Lawrence and Sadie Echols; brother and sister-in-law: R.Q. and Mary Lawrence and a sister: Margie Amenrude. He was preceded in death by his wife: Emilie Carol Maze Lawrence.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday October 31, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Arthur Feemster and Kenneth Smith, officiating. Entombment will be in Brookwood Mausoleum with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Darron Blocker, Justin Blocker, Robert Echols
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday October 30, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
