Billy Wayne Hewlette  Billy Wayne Hewlette, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.  He grew up on a farm in Thaxton, MS.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.  After being honorably discharged, he moved to Houston, TX, then Memphis, TN where he worked for Allied Systems for 30 years driving a truck.  After retiring he moved back to Thaxton.  He was an absolute joy to be around.  He was a jokester, never ever met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.  He would absolutely give you the shirt off his back.  He will be greatly missed.

Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home.  Bro. Tommy Inmon will officiate.  Burial will be in the Guinn Cemetery.  Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors, wife, Jan Hewlette; daughters, Tracie Hewlette Osborn (Tommy) and Jennifer Hewlette Borden (Terry); son, Jeffrey Wayne Hewlette (Bridget); grandchildren, Zak Osborn, Zeke Osborn, Dalton Reeves and Kaitlyn Reeves Beaugh.

Preceded in death, parents, Jim Henry and Clara V Anderson Hewlette; brothers, Jimmy, Jake and Jack Hewlette; sister, Mozelle Vetsch and infant sister, Virginia Hewlette.

Pallbearers, Mark Hewlette, Gary Hewlette, David Hewlette, Jack Hewlette, Jr., Tommy Osborn and Jeff Gooch; honorary, Dalton Reeves, Zak Osborn, Zeke Osborn and Terry Lon McCarter.

Visitation, 12:00 pm until service time Saturday, February 10, 2024.
