Billy Wayne Ferguson, 88 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on Friday, September 15th, 2023, at Limestone Nursing Center. He was born on November 19th, 1934, to parents Lawrence Victor Ferguson and Mary Lindsay Ferguson.
He is survived by his wife Mary Gayle Ferguson; his sons Steven Carl Ferguson and wife Sharon, Rodney Glenn Ferguson, and wife Anessa; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Ferguson; grandsons Benton Grant Ferguson and wife Jillian, Walton Glenn Ferguson; and granddaughter Anna Grace Ferguson.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence & Mary Ferguson, and his son David Wayne Ferguson.
Services for Mr. Ferguson will be Sunday, September 17th, 2023, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12pm-1:45pm and funeral service will be at 2pm with Toney Wales officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Ferguson, Rodney Ferguson, Benton Ferguson, Walton Ferguson, John Allfrey, Billy White, and Bobby Duggar.
Billy enjoyed time with his family at the river and restoring Farmall tractors. He spent a wonderful 65 years married to his wife Mary Gayle and loved his Alabama Football.
