Billy Wayne “Bill” Pettit, age 75 of Cordova, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Borden Cemetery. Bubba Hallman will officiate.
Mr. Pettit was preceded in death by his Mom-Anna Lee Pettit; Dad-Joseph Bufford Pettit; Brother-Joseph Howard Pettit; Mother-in-law-Clara Mae Madison; Aunt-Louise Lockart Belue; Son-in-law-Mark Carl Barger; Granddaughter-Kimberly Pettit.
He is survived by his Wife of 55 years-Clara Sue Pettit; Daughter-Tammy Sue Pettit; Sons-Danny Wayne Pettit and Nick Pettit; Grandchildren-Bailey Kennedy (Jon), Trey Ellis (Katie), Aryan Atkins, Allison Guthrie, Halden Pettit, Montana Barger, Rylee Barger and fiancee Nathan Chance and Damian Pettit; Great Grandchildren-Carter Black, Olivia Hall, Journie Hall, Clark Hall, Emma Atkins, Ella Atkins, Ty Ellis and Alex Ellis; Brothers-Dave Pettit (Rita), Charlie Pettit (Donna), Will Pettit, William Pettit (Michelle) and Jackie Pettit (Velda); Sister-Brenda Pettit.
Pallbearers will be Danny Pettit, Jon Kennedy, Nathan Chance, Jason Pettit, Will Pettit, Nick Pettit, William Pettit and Ray Madison.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made towards the funeral expenses.
