Billy Wayne Adcock age 77 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Mr. Adcock was born October 9, 1939 in Limestone County, AL to Willie Adcock and Avis Carter Adcock.
Services will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bud White officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens, on Hwy 127.
Mr. Adcock was a member of the 1343rd Nation Guard out of Athens. He was a construction worker, plumber and pipe fitter. He loved to fish go to auction sales and panning for gold.
Survived by his wife, Linda Thompson Adcock; one son, Jeffrey Adcock; two daughters, Renee Beggs and husband, Randy and Karen Adcock; two grandchildren, Jake Beggs and wife, Morgan and Jordan Beggs; three sisters, Modean Green, Linda Toone and Charles Wardlow; two brothers, E.J. Adcock, Danny Adcock; numerous other family members and friends.
