Billy Shoemake, 84, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home in Chesterville, MS. Billy was a self-employed farmer and had also worked at Wal-Mart. He was a hard worker that didn’t mind telling you what he thought and helped many people in his community.
Survivors include his children, Ronnie Davis (Dana), Dwight Simmons (Carolyn), Allen Simmons, Andy Simmons, and Linda Daugherty; his brothers, Tommy and Dudley Shoemake; 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lucille Simmons Shoemake; his brother, Jean Shoemake; his sister, Margaret Shoemake; and his parents.
Homegoing Services will be Friday, April 5, 2024, at 12PM at Chesterville Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Wesley Stephens and Bro. Mike Brazil officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Old Chesterville Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Simmons, Adam Simmons, Ben Davis, Brad Simmons, Dylan Simmons, and Gage Todd.
