Billy Ray Hughes was born September 2, 1936 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Robert Lee and Verna Cunningham Hughes.
Mr. Hughes was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Michie, TN. After retiring from Brown Shoe Company he a started a small engine repair service. He loved playing dominoes and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Hughes departed this life on December 14, 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn Chambers Hughes of Michie, TN; a daughter, Kimberly Hughes Capooth of Guys, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Hughes Jones; two brothers, Robert Lee Hughes Jr. and Travis Hughes.
