Billy Ray Culver Profile PhotoBilly Ray Culver, 82, who was a dedicated employee at Lyon Metal, has sadly passed away at his home in Etta, Mississippi. Born in Holly Springs, Mississippi, on June 30, 1941, Billy’s life was filled with love, and cherished moments in his career at Lyon Metal, Billy showed unwavering commitment and hard work. He will be for his professionalism and the positive impact he had on those around him.

Beyond work life, Billy had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He found delight in watching softball games for his grandkids and spending time with them. His love of the outdoors was evident in his fondness for sitting outside and fishing. Billy’s simple pleasures included savoring watermelon on warm days and watching classic western movies.

Family meant everything to Billy. He is survived by his brother George Culver, sister Susie Hicks, his sons Berry Culver (Wendy), John Huston (Diana), Mike Huston (Sharlott), his daughters Julie Taylor and Tina Whitlow (David). He is also survived by his grandkids, Billy Turner, Dallas Huston (Hydie), Skylar Huston (Kaylee), Lance Huston (Jenna), Gary Huston (Chasity), Tiffany Crawley (Shane), Savannah Brooks (Jamie), Hope Huston (Kinzie), Courtney Friser (Josh), Cheyenne Huston (Matt), Lauren Culver, Cody Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Jeffrey Taylor, Justin Klutts, and 20 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Judith Culver, preceded in death by his sister Emma Cundiff. He was the loving son of Earnest Culver and Lucille Teasler Culver, both of whom have now been reunited with him in peace.

A visitation to honor Billy’s life will take place at the Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, Mississippi, on Sunday June 30, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional visitation hours will be held at the same location on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Glenfield Funeral Home. Finally, friends and family will gather for a Graveside Service at the Enterprise Cemetery in Myrtle, Mississippi, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on July 1, 2024. Bro. Gary Meredith will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be Shane Crawley, David Whitlow, Brian Crawley, Skylar Huston, John Huston, Eurnie Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Brooks, Billy Turner, and Timmy Turner.

Billy Ray Culver will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace as his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.

Glenfield Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements of Mr. Culver.
