Funeral services for Billy Ray Briggs, Jr., 80, of Corinth are set for Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – SOUTH on HWY 45 South with interment in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – SOUTH on HWY 45 South. Bro. Chuck Hassell will officiate the service with Ken Briggs delivering family reflections. Born February 27, 1942 in Corinth, MS., Billy Ray passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member of Waldron Street C and retired from the City of Corinth as the Street Department Commissioner. He also owned B.R. Briggs and Sons. Billy Ray loved his family and friends and enjoyed restoring antique cars, playing golf, watching MS State Sports and college football. He was also a member of the Magnolia Car club and a 32nd degree Mason. Those left to cherish the memory of Billy Ray include his wife of 57 years, Carol Jane Briggs; sons, “Lucky” Briggs and wife Christy and Ken Briggs and wife Leslie; 7 grandchildren, Robert Briggs (Samantha), Cassidy Snyder (Preston), Naron Briggs (Jacob Hammond), Kaylee Jane Briggs (Will Bass), Asia Briggs, Sadie Briggs and Alden Briggs; one great grandson, Pierce Briggs; sister, Dannette Rickman; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Briggs; mother, Marie Briggs and brother-in-law, Reggie Rickman. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Billy Ray Briggs.
