Billy R. Burgess, 65, died Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Tishomingo Manor, Iuka, MS. He was born in Iuka, MS and attended Iuka CME Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be Thursday, December 30, 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery, Iuka, MS with Bro. Byron Houston officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by three brothers – Walter E. Burgess (Juan), James Porter Johnson and Terry R. Johnson (Sherrie) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evie Mae Burgess Johnson, two brothers, William E. Burgess and Howard L. Burgess and a sister, Sally A. Burgess.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
