Billy Parker, 73, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Iuka, MS. He was born in Corinth, MS on August 12, 1945 to the late Adam and Mary McCallister Parker and graduated from Alcorn Central High School in 1965. Billy loved the outdoors and everything associated with it. He enjoyed farming, fishing, deer hunting, traveling and camping. Two of his other enjoyments in life were racing cars and horses. But his greatest passion was music. Nothing pleased Billy more than playing his guitar and singing and he did it every chance he could. He was owner of Parkers Grocery and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Billy will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled from 5-9 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2019 and from 1 pm till service time Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Alan Parker. Interment will follow in Brigman Hill Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers include Wayne Parker, Nathan Parker, Larry Broadway, Johnny Potts, Shane Parker, Mason Stanford, Caden Mask, John Adam Parker, and Jeremy Holmes. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Billy’s memory include his sons: Philip Jerome Parker of Chicago,IL and Billy Paul Parker (Betty Ann) of Cedar Park, TX; his daughters: Kim Mask of Rienzi and MaryBeth Stanford (Brian) of Rienzi; his grandchildren: Courtney Mask Glidewell (Curtis), Caden Mask (Allisa); Grace Stanford, Mason Stanford, Natalie Ann Parker and Andrew Adam Parker; his great-grandchildren: Ella Claire Glidewell, Grayson Ross Glidewell, and Asher Dingler; the mother of his children: Nelda Nash Parker of Corinth; his brothers: Jerry Wayne Parker (Cathy) of GA and Stevie Parker of MS; his sisters: Martha Davis of TN and Kathy Parton of AL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
