Billy Morrison Rich
(August 23, 1943 – June 12, 2013)
Billy Morris Rich, 69 of Tuscumbia, AL- born and raised in Cherokee- died on June 12, 2013 after a brief illness.
He worked at Muscle Shoals Mac for 27 years as a Shop Foreman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and raised exotic animals for a while. He was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rich; his mother, Mary Grey; and two brothers: Gary Rich and Marshall Rich.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nona Jean; son, Keith Rich (Violetta) and granddaughter, Stesha; three sisters, Sherry Irons (Charles), Rosemary Burleson, and Michelle Rutland.
Visitation will be at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13th, 2013. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating. Pallbearers will be Harold Graham, Greg Waldrep, Doug Hester, Dewayne Gentle, Larry Mason and Eric Irons.
