A Funeral Service for Billy Mack Cook, 89, will be held at Center Springs Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery at Florette, Alabama.
Mr. Cook retired from General Electric in Decatur in 1995. He also ran his own business for many years, doing Air Conditioning and Appliance repair for his community. He helped his wife establish a health care clinic in Somerville, selflessly working many hours in helping to build and do the electrical work for Center Springs Methodist Church building in the Winton Community.
He survived by two sons: Terry Quinn Cook and Blake Cook, a sister; Virginia Riley, Five Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife; Shirley Cryer Cook of 69 years, his parents; Madison and Annie Williams Cook, sisters; Betty Kate Clifton and Laverne Higdon.
In addition, he taught trade school for Brewer High School. He and his wife loved camping, travel and fellowship with friends.
