Billy Long, 62, of Tishomingo, MS, died on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his residence. Billy enjoyed farming, his cattle, and spending time with his family. He is surived by his wife, Julia Long; his children, James Long (Chantel), Zach Long (Brandi), Daniel Akers (SanTanna), Mac Long (Tara), Tyler Long (Ashleigh), Erika Long, and Lorenzo Braxton; his grandchildren, Caleb Long, Ethan Long, Temperance Long, Sophie Akers, Elizabeth Long, Gracie Duggard, and Grayson Duggard; and his great-grandchild, Darby Long; his siblings, Lowell Long (Judy), Debbie Grimes (Ashley), and Raymond Wilkins: and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mac Long, Sr. and Joyce Teresa Weidner Long; and his brother, Mitchell Long. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at South Crossroads Baptist Church. A graveside will follow at Tishomingo Cemetery immediately after visitation. Donations may be made in Billy’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or to the local Reconnect4Autism program.
