Billy Lewis Peden, 86, Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, at Center Star Cemetery, Killen, with Bernard Jackson and Bubba Cole officiating.
Billy was born in Florence, Alabama, on July 26, 1938, to John C. Peden and Clara Lard Peden. He was an electrician with Local 558 for fifty-eight years. Along with his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Benton, Clifford, and Richard Peden; sisters, Judy Dimples Lindsey, Virginia Phillips, and Hilda Chaney; and grandson, Eric Moreland.
Billy is survived by his wife, Jewell Peden; sons, Garry Peden and David Peden; sister, Mary Mitchell; grandsons, Bradley Peden and Clint Moreland; great-grandchildren, Summer Peden, Jake Peden, Luke Peden, Austin Moreland, Taylor Moreland, and Carsyn Moreland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Garner, Jimmy Gillentine, Brian Thompson, Bernard Jackson, and Anthony Hovater.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
