Billy Lee “Pokie Dot” Manning, 78, of Russellville, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Manning was a native of Warrior, Alabama, but had lived in Russellville for the past 57 years. He worked for the City of Russellville for 10 years. He was known as “Pokie Dot” and was a loving husband, father and grandfather of six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be Thursday, October 3, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie Todd and husband, Thomas of Russellville; son, Billy Ray Manning and girlfriend, Debbie Roden of Russellville; sister, Cathaleen McDonald, Flint, Michigan; sister-in-law, Alma Bowling; grandchildren, Dalton Tyra, Brody Tyra, Lee Todd, Will Todd, Renee Vincent and Mickie Manning; great-grandchildren, Ashylan Vincent, Braxton Vincent, and Makayla Manning.
He was preceded in death by wife, Sylvia Allen Askew Manning; and brother-in-law, Tim Bowling.
