Billy Lee Bailey, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his residence. He was a native of Belgreen, AL, retired from Tims Ford Lake, and a member of Gandy Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Grace Reid Bailey; his wife, Valentia J. Cothren Bailey; and one son, Kenneth E. Bailey.
He is survived by one son, Jesse Bailey of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Jessica Bailey of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Tommy Bailey of Lawrenceburg, TN, and James Bailey of Cornville, AZ; six grandchildren, Brandy Bailey, Peyton James Ferguson, Clayton Bailey, Kenneth Edwin Bailey, Jr., Jace Canatella, and Nettie-Mae “Becca” Bailey; one step-grandchild, Andrew J. Ricco; and two sisters-in-law, Fran Rosson and Ann Davis.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2023, with Larry Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at Bumpas Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
