Born in Columbia, Tennessee, on July 12, 1964, Billy was the beloved son of the late Walter Pete Pruitt and the late Nellie Louise Boyd Pruitt. For over 40 years, he dedicated himself to his own business, Pruitt’s Painting. Billy always had a happy go lucky personality and he found joy in kayaking, fishing, attending NASCAR races, and car shows. However, his greatest source of happiness came from spending cherished moments with his family, particularly his great nieces and nephew.
Billy is survived by his sisters, Sherry Dugger and Renee (Bart) Anderson, both of Columbia; nephews, Cody Dugger and Lincoln Anderson, both of Columbia; uncle, Wendell Gail Boyd of Hampshire; great nieces, Braelyn and Mia; great nephew, Cullen; special cousins, Shannon (Bill) Doelle and Mark Runions; and his loyal canine companion and best friend, Pepper.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his niece, Michelle Dugger; uncle, James “Bo” Boyd; and brother-in-law, Roy Dugger.
Honoring Billy’s memory, pallbearers will include Tommy White, Kenny White, Keith Remer, Mark Jones, Mark Runions, Cody Dugger, and Bart Anderson.
