Billy Joe Swims, age 69 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away June 19, 2024. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Winston Furniture.
Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Grove Cemetery in the Ashridge Community.
Mr. Swims is survived by his wife, Vickie Swims; daughter, Cynthia (Josh) Bowen; siblings, May Swims, Ronnie Swims and Von Swims; grandchild, Zia Bowen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Augusta Swims; and siblings, Lois Hulsey, Trish Butler, Waylon Swims, Willard Swims, Faye Lanningham, Ray Swims and Thomas Swims.
