Billy Joe Lawson, age 70, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, April 05, 2024, at UAB Hospital.
Billy Joe was a good man who loved his family more than anything.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Kevin (Brandy) Lawson, Traci Montgomery, Yolonda (William) Newell; grandchildren, Devin (Robin) Lawson, Drake (Lindsey) Lawson, Mason (Jerri Beth) Montgomery, Caleb (Cecilia) Montgomery, Les Montgomery, Gracie Montgomery, Autumn Montgomery, Joey (Arriet) Newell, Lashawna (Cody) Wilemon, Aubrey Newell, Bella Newell; great-grandchildren, Evin Lawson, Maddux Lawson, Raelyn Lawson, Trey Lawson, Liam Stewart, Lilly Lawson, Elly Montgomery, and Josie Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Lawson; father, Joseph Lawson; mother, Lorene Cummings Lawson; sister, Linda Lawson; and son-in-law, Micky Montgomery.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 09, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Bro. Trevor Hallmark will be speaking at the service. The burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Devin Lawson, Drake Lawson, Mason Montgomery, Caleb Montgomery, Les Montgomery, and Joey Newell.
