Billy Joe Edgemon, 75, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital.
Bill was born May 24, 1938 in Limestone County to Carl and Bessie Edgemon. He was a charter member of Midway Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from General Motors in 1995, and worked as a Real Estate Agent.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leta Sue of 49 years, son, Jason and his wife, Lori, and his pride and joy grandson, Grayson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, J.D. Edgemon.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 from noon to 1:45 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Gerome Hilliard and Brother Bradley Griggs officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Grayson Edgemon, Todd Crouch, Wayne Henderson, Matt Homan, Bryon Scott, Hayden Scott and Joseph Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Midway Baptist Church and the Coffee Club at A&M Chevron.
