Mr. Billy Joe Crow, age 80, of the Oleander Community of Union Grove, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Crow was born on October 21, 1942 to Julian Crow and Velma Lacey Steadham in Morgan County, Alabama. He was raised by his mother and step father, Robert Steadham. Billy was married to his wife, Laverne Bolding Crow, for over 60 years. He was a member of Oleander Methodist Church. Billy was a man of many trades. He spent a lot of time working in his woodworking shop and loved working on and riding his tractor. Billy was a good, loving and supportive family man. He thoroughly enjoyed doing things with and for his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Crow is survived by his wife of 60 years, Laverne Crow, and his children, Tracy Garrett (Ricky) of Arab, Dana Boyd (Bobby) of Hoover, and Shelia Holaday (Tim) of Union Grove. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Malik Boyd, Brittany Loftis (Cody), Brandy Bodine (Justin), and Billy King (Catherine). Also surviving Mr. Crow are his five great-grandchildren; Will Loftis, Brodie King, Kole King, Brantley Stevenson and Rylan King; and sisters, Faye Andrews and Louise Tyler (David).

A funeral service will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Brother Cody Loftis and Brother Gary McRae will be officiating.
Bobby Boyd, Justin Bodine, Tim Holaday, Rick Garrett, David Walls, Danny Bolding and Jody Moon will be escorting Mr. Crow to his final resting place in the Oleander Methodist Church Cemetery in Marshall County.
In lieu of flowers the family welcomes and encourages donations be made to Oleander Methodist Church, 253 Oleander Church Road, Union Grove, AL 35175
