Mr. Billy Joe Chandler, age 88, of Hollywood, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 5, 2023 and reunited with his wife of 52 years, Mildred.
Billy Joe was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.
Billy Joe was a lifetime farmer, beginning in 1950, growing row crops including corn, cotton, soybeans, wheat and cattle.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mildred Hammons Chandler; parents, Frankie Paul & Fronie Jewell Chandler; siblings, Aubrey “Moe” Chandler, Louise Chandler Guffey.
His surviving family members include his son, Jeff (Rosalyn) Chandler. His grandchildren, Cameron Chandler, Lauren Chandler; brother Paul Ray Chandler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 3 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Chris Bell officiating. Burial will follow into Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
