Billy Joe Carter, 75 of Tuscumbia passed away Friday, December 12, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015.
Mr. Carter was a native of Rogersville, AL and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Reynolds Alloys and was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his son, William “Buddy” Carter; mother, Lottie L. Marlar; sister, Laura Harbin; and brother, Jerry Marlar.
Billy Joe is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Carter; daughter, Tia Carter Johnson; son-in-law, Rodney Allen Johnson; sister, Peggy Burroughs; 2 grandchildren, Kayla Melton and Blayze Carter Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
