Billy Joe “Butch” Hayes, age 75 of Goodspring, passed away Saturday February 26, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Butch was born June 2, 1946 in Lester, AL to George and Eula Marie Mankins Hayes. He was retired from Thompson Loggers and preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm Tuesday March 1, 2022 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 1pm Wednesday March 2, 2022 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Oxford Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Nancy Hayes of Goodspring, son Billy Dean Hayes of Goodspring, daughter Tonia Malone and husband Caleb of Goodspring, brother Danny Hayes and wife Elanor of Minor Hill, grandchildren Kinsley Steadman, Ashlynn Steadman, Laney Pickett, Aubrey Malone. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
