Billy Joe BrownFuneral service for Billy Joe Brown, age 85, of Hanceville, will be Friday, October 18, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. Johnny Miller.  Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service and interment will be held at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Brown was born February 4, 1939, in Rickman, Tennessee to Elanza and Myrtle Brown. He passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Junior Brown, Melvin Brown, Earnest Brown, and Gary Brown; brother-in-law, Beecher Brown; sister-in-law, Joyce Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty seven years, Janice Lucille Daily Brown; son, David Joe Brown (Wendy); daughter, Billie Gail Miller (Johnny); brothers, Danny Brown, Doug Brown (Cornetta), Donald Brown (Heida); sisters, Fannie Mae Harris (Albert), Joyce Brown, Janice Burks (Bill), Carol Dunn (Phil); sister in law, Golda Brown; four grandchildren, Sarah Joy Aldridge (Jimmy), Holly Jo Tyler (Heath), John Lucas Miller (Jennifer), Casey Joe Brown (Adrianna); six great-grandchildren, Payton Gail Aldridge, Jaxon David Aldridge, Lucy Lane Tyler, Cora Austyn Tyler, James Loyal Miller, John Locke Miller.

Family remembers Billy Joe as a man who truly and deeply loved the Lord.  He faithfully served as a deacon at Unity Freewill Baptist for forty-six years.  He was known to love gardening, and he never met a stranger.  He was loved by all and will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
