Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Barber , age 88 will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at 2 PM at the Gibson Wells Community Church with Dameron Duck officiating. Burial will follow in Follis Chapel Cemetery near Trenton, TN. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday December 3, 2024 in the Chapel of Shelton Funeral home in Trenton, TN starting a 4 PM until 8 PM.
Mr. Barber a retired factory worker who also farmed, was a member of the Gibson Wells Methodist,passed away on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at Regional One Health Extended Care Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Mr. Barber was preceded in death by; his parents Tec and Elva (James) Barber; his wife Martha (Crocker) Barber; three sisters Joan Barber, Betty Barber, and Helen Samples; and two brothers Thomas Barber and Jake Barber.
Mr. Barber is survived by: a daughter Tracey Selph and husband Terry of Gadsden, TN; three grand children Tyler Selph and wife Chelsea of Brownsville, TN, Brooke Selph of Humboldt, TN and Austin Selph of Gadsden, TN; four great grandchildren Logan Selph, Luke Selph, Joslyn Selph and Xander Selph.
