Billy Gene Stilwell, 88, of Huntsville, passed away Friday, August 7th.
He was born in Huntsville, AL and was a life long resident. He graduated from Buckhorn High School. Billy was a member of the 4H Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and shooting pool. Billy retired from civil service, and was also a US Army Veteran. He was a life long member of the American Legion Post 237, and past Post Comrader of the VFW Post 2702.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana Stilwell; children, Karen Dunlap (Jeff), Sharon Patterson (Alan), Elaine Stoots (Dan); David Edenfield (Cynthia) and Hans Edenfield (Mia); grandchildren, Kyle Dunlap, Mitchell Patterson, Riley Green (Justin), Christian Edenfield, and Austin Edenfield (Erica); great grandchildren, Madeleine Edenfield and Clara Edenfield; brother, Jesse Stilwell; and sister, Elizabeth Simmons.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, August 10th at 10 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Pastor Larry Layne officiating.
