Billy Gene McNutt, age 91, Haleyville, AL. passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He served in the Army National Guard 107th Truck Company during the Korean War, retired from Traders and Farmers Bank having worked 67 years, where he was a Loan Officer and served on the Board of Directors, member of the Lions Club, American Legion, member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ, serving as a Elder and a avid runner, he logged over 25,000 miles over the course of 40 years.
Graveside Service will be Monday, March 18, 2024 at 1:00PM in Hillcrest Cemetery in Haleyville, AL. with Matthew Balentine and Adam Faughn officiating.
Pallbearers, Allen Hill, Taylor Sessions, Cole Sessions, Heath Haggard, John Tyler Dobbs and Zachery Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Shirley Haley McNutt; daughter, Melinda (Larry) Sessions and Susan Haggard; grandchildren, Allen (Ashley) Hill, Taylor (Meghan) Sessions, Cole (Ashley) Sessions, Heath (Rebecca) Haggard and Haley Haggard; great grandchildren, Zachery Hill, Caitylyn Hill, Ethan Sessions, Ellis Sessions, Isla Rose Sessions, Rowan Sessions, Amelia Haggard and Anna Grace Haggard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B and Edis McNutt; brothers and sisters, Cecil McNutt, Beatrice Morphew, Lawson McNutt and Maxie Faye Salyers.
